| Go to http://www.classtools.net/ You can create a countdown timer and select the music (from Hawaii 5.0 to Beethoven) - very useful for center timing, quick games, etc. You can create free educational games, activities and diagrams. You can save, print, or embed them on your website. On the first page there is a pull down menu with all of the activities. The Random Name Picker is good for random questioning and review. Type in your class list. Then click on the Fruit Machine to bring up the Jackpot. It will automatically scroll until it comes up to one of your students. If you need to go back and edit the class list, just click on Edit Words. You can click on the icon that looks like a disk to save this page as a web page. The icon that looks like a gearshift on the lower right is the embed tool. Click on that to bring up the embed code and paste it in your website or blog. The Venn Diagram is cool because you could create it, put the list of things to sort into the Venn diagram, save it, put on your eboard or school fusion page for homework. It could be a center, etc. If you want to see how it is done, or see samples just click on the green question mark. Pretty cool interactive tool! And think - once you make these - they are saved! Check out the burger diagram generator! It is just like your handout, but the students make it! again you put the prompts of where to put information and they can do this! Hit the green question mark for examples. Okay the post-in is so cool for diagramming geography, body parts, etc. Check it out - you do have to go to the green question mark for examples to see how it is done - a little tricky! When you land on the homepage, click on "English" and you'll see nine categories of ELL materials (including science, geography and world history). That's a good starting point. |
Repeat After Us. This site is a collection of copyright-free audio texts that include nursery rhymes, famous quotes, poetry and other literature from many time periods and cultures. Some 1,100 of the more than 6,000 texts offer audio readings. The site was originally designed to help English language learners, as users can hear as well as see the texts.
